Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 - 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 - 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup green bell peppers
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups chopped onions
  • 1 tablespoon bacon grease
  • 1 1/2 lbs. chopped beef or hamburger

Instructions

  • Brown meat in a deep skillet and remove to bowl. Heat bacon grease and mix in onions, garlic, peppers and sauté for 5 minutes. Return meat to skillet mixture. Add tomatoes, paste, water and chili power. Bring to boil; cover and heat over medium heat for 30 minutes.
